Welcome to RAA Lab
The Rotorcraft Aerodynamics and Aeroacoustics (RAA) Lab at Oklahoma State University, led by Dr. Sicheng Kevin Li, advances research in Aerodynamics through the integration of experiments, computations, and theories. Our expertise spans gust-induced noise, vortex-wing interactions, rotor–ship airwake dynamics, advanced air mobility (AAM) noise modeling/measurements, and multi-fidelity aeromechanics simulations.
State-of-the-art facilities
Anechoic chambers, windshaper, particle image velocimetry (PIV), laser Doppler velocimetry (LDV), HPC nodes, 16-channel B&K microphone array, dynamic rotor/wing gantry, metal and carbon fiber 3D printers
Lab missions
Advance knowledge in aerodynamics and aeroacoustics
Educate the next generation of scientists for the American aerospace and defense industry
